Hi Everyone


We have arrived back home and back to housework and many other chores.

Pat and I had a lovely time in Scotland, it was great to see Sam,Cam, Ryan and Shannon as we don't see them very often.
Ryan and Shannon are growing up fast, Ryan's 17 now and Shannon's 20, makes us feel very old.

The weather up there was abit rubbish while we were there, on the day we were leaving it was brilliant sunshine, we even sat outside on the ferry.

I have taken a few photos and will put them on the blog at the weekend.

Hi Everyone

Pat and I arrived safe and sound to Scotland, the journey went really smoothly and our connections were within 10mins each.

We had to get up at 2.45am to get ready as the cab was picking us up at 3.45 so that we could catch the 5.40am train from Euston, we were abit knackered when we arrived as we were unable to sleep on the train, due to the bing bong announcements at every approaching station.

We are off out today for a bus ride as the weather is abit dull will keep updating as we go along.

Hi Everyone


Long time since an update, we've not had much news lately.

Pat and I are off up to Scotland to see Samantha and family, we go tomorrow on an early train 5.40am from Euston, we are only going for 5 days and we travel back on Tuesday.

We are quite excited as we are going to have a girly night, glass of wine and some pampering, NOOOOOOO doing my eyebrows this time Shannon, so painful, rather have them waxed.

Also there is a Jazz festival on over the weekend, I will take a few photos and publish them on the blog.

Sorry for no updates as we've  no news.

It's our annivesary today 20 years, we are probably going out for a meal if the weather stays dry, as it's very cold and they are forecasting snow.
If we don't go out, we'll have a bottle of wine with our dinner to celebrate.

Hi everyone

Just a few more holiday snaps from India,

This a family that performed nearly everyday, and then came round to collect a few rupees

Pat abd I went for a meal, this is steak, baked potato with a pepper sauce, it was absolutely delicious.

Two boys we made friend with on the beach, all the kids that work on the beach have a sad tale to tell, but these two were special.
The one in the pink is called Raj, Father died two years ago and it's left to him to support his Mother and four other siblings.
The one in yellow is called Manju, and as gay as you can be, really funny, even walks like a woman.
But they were really lovely and it's a very hard life for them, it makes you appreciate all you have at home.

Now we are back it's cold and Del, Pat and myself have got to get going on the allotment as we have two.
I will keep you updated on our progress.

more holiday pictures

This is Del not being cool. Pat bought him a MP3 player and Roy downloaded the music for him.
He kept singing at the top of his voice and jigging about, I would'nt mind but he does'ntt even know any of the words to the songs he's listening to.Pat's peeking round the bathroom door wondering whats going on.

This is one of our favorite waiters, David, He cannot do enough for you, he work extremly long hours, but has always got a smile.

Pat and I enjoying a mango juice, while we are waiting for our dinner, curry, curry and more curry

The beach was amazing, far as the eye could see. The sea was very rough, so we never went in, as it knocked quite a few people over.

This is a very common sight on the beach, the cows eat anything.
The beach shacks put their rubbish in black bags, that gets collected late afternoon, but if the cows come along before they have been picked up, the cows break into the bags and eat the rubbish.
I'll put more pictures on tomorrow.

Holiday Photos

Roy has just given another lesson on how to include photos on the blog, as I forgot how.
The above photos were taken on Valentines day, the men are putting up bunting for the evening,

As you can see we are all enjoying the evening, all the ladies got a rose and we also had champagne.
They had live music and lots of dancing, a brilliant evening was had by all.

I love this photo, as it shows how alike we are, more like twins

These are our friends we made the last couple of times that we been to India, Alan and Barbara, who come from Somerset,

I thought you were supposes to go brown in the sun (ha ha) this is Pat and I having a pamper afternoon, trying to get rid of all the wrinkles (it did'nt work) we giggled so much, I think we even more laughter lines than we had already.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry have'nt been able to update as no internet, but ok for now.

Had a lazy day on the beach yesterday and stay around the pool today, as Pat and I had one of thoses sleepless night, so we were knackered this morning.

We are off to the beach tomorrow and Del's staying round the pool as he finds it to hot on the beach.

Pat and I have made friends with two boys, of which one, we think is gay as he wears nail polish and eye shadow and also bitches about, quite funny really.

Well it's nearing the end of our holiday, we will try and get on line again soon, if possible.

Hi Everyone

Sorry to hear you've got snow (hee hee) We have had a very hot day around the pool, had to go in for lots of dips to cool off.

We are of out for dinner tonight as we are all curried up, we are going with some people we've made friends with while out here.

Still no luck with the pictures, will put them on as soon as we get back home.

Went to our Bollywood Charity last night it was brilliant, the charity was for the children from the slum area, street children and orphans, the charity was called Educators  India Trust, the children danced for us, they were brilliant, there were fire eaters, and some Indian dancers, lots of good food, drinks and plenty of mossies, who also had a good feed as we found out when we got home.

The charity collected for the children, which helps to feed and educate them, also helps to let them go on outings that they've never experienced,  but a great experience for us.

Hi everybody

Another lazy day on the beach, Pat and I decided to have our nails paint and a pedicure, so did Del.

When Del was having his pedicure, he was crying with laughter as it was tickling his feet, and we were all laughing with him in the end, even the lady who was do it.

We have a gay boy who sits with us sometimes, he is so funny, the way he speaks and he wears eye makeup and nail polish.
Likes sitting on Del's bed, Pat and I are beginning to wonder now Del's thumb nail painted ( only for a joke).

Pictures to follow, as we are having problems with putting them on, we'll keep trying.

Hi everybody 

We are sorry but I have had a senior moment today, there was no internet over the weekend
(sound familiar Si)
So we though we would try today, but now I have forgotten the camera dohhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!
We are off to the beach tomorrow, we will take some more pictures and try and put them on the blog, thats if my brain is working.
Friday we are going to a Bollywood Charity, so we will take photos there also.

Hi Everybody


We are now safe and sound in India, the weather is very hot and not a cloud in the sky.
Journey was'nt to bad, just very long.
The hotel has put Valentine decorations up and there is a special meal, with live music.
Yesterday we had an evening of Indian dancing, God I don't know how they keep those pots
on their head.
The dancer came round to get me up to dance, I said I've got a bad leg and then pointed to Pat, so
she had no excuse not to dance ( quite funny really).
Will try at the weekend to put some pictures on, so will update you all then.

Sorry I have not been in contact as I have been poorly, my blood pressure went really high and also
being really sick, spent 3 days in bed, decided to goto the doctors and thankfully my blood pressure
went back down. If it stayed high, I would'nt be going to India.
Anyway ok now, all packed and ready to go.

I am busy packing cases for our trip to India, can't wait for warm sun on our bodies.
While we are out there we will try and drag ourselves away from the pool and beach
to keep you all updated on our holiday, also if I can remember how to do the photos
I will put some on the blog, as we are out there for 3 weeks.
 Pat has been packed for 3 weeks (very keen).
